About Laura
Laura the Person
I grew up in the lower valley of Central Washington. As the oldest of four kids, I always felt I had to be the leader of the family. When you’re a teenager and you have younger siblings, it’s not always fun. Today, I don’t know what I would do without these remarkable souls. I now have two kids and they are amazing. My number one goal in life is to create an environment where these two can find their path and thrive in their own way. Most of this comes from leading by example, which is what I try to do every day. They are always watching, even when you think they’re not. Same goes with people. My passion is to help leaders understand how their role as a leader is critical in their business and in their life.
As a young kid, there were several people who inspired me to grow and reach great heights I had never seen before. For that reason, I do my best to encourage and empower others to dig deep and take small steps toward their huge goals.

Ignite Consulting was born from a passion for empowering and supporting leaders to make an impact.
With over 20+ years of experience in Human Resources, Laura brings an invaluable set of skills to help organizations, businesses, and ultimately people.
Laura’s philosophy centers on people. People are capable of amazing things when they have a clear vision for what they want their life or workplace to be.
From project management, process improvements and implementations, running investigations, having tough conversations, and empowering team members to shift their mindset and actions, Laura is here to light a fire up your ass and get things going.
Over the years she realized firsthand that when people are supported and empowered to develop their leadership skills, it changes not only the company’s ability to succeed; it changes their personal ability to succeed at work, at home, and in life. This was the beginning of Ignite Consulting.
She is currently on the Grandview City Council and is part of the Main Street Board.

Leaders also have a responsibility to take actions that make the world and community around them better.
Sometimes leading is uncomfortable. Having the courage to speak up and inspiring others to say what they need to say, and stand up for what they believe in, in order to help and serve others.
